Writing a Biography

Writing about yourself is... awkward.

About Me.

Have you ever written a biography? No? It's weird. I guess it's not the writing about myself that's particularly awkward, I wrote about myself quite a bit in my non-fiction work and shared very intimate details. It's the writing about myself in third person that I find most strange. We all know it's me, writing about... me. Do I really have to say "she"? (The rhyming was completely unintentional.)

It has also made me realize how painfully uninteresting I really am. The most exciting things I could come up with were work, my kids, and sports? Ouch.

I suppose my saving grace is that my biography can evolve. I can only hope that, in time, it will morph into something I will be proud of. With shiny accolades and witty tidbits about my life that make me seem like someone you want to know and read from. Until then, it's just another Tuesday, make it great! <3
